:: Biography
My name is Lindsey Rush Hawkins and I would like to welcome you to my online art gallery. Art is where I archive my dreams and put them on canvas. Issues of self-confidence, homesickness, spirituality, and surreal relationships with nature are main focal areas of my work. These issues are expressed through the visual use of small objects, symbols, landscapes, textures, and color schemes.
Much of my inspiration comes from my childhood growing up on a farm in Southern Indiana. I still have dreams about the farmhouse and fields of open land. Within the farm community, I was in 4-H for ten years and am still just a country girl at heart. Through out the years, my graphic design career has taken me to San Francisco, New York City, Indianapolis, Chicago, and currently I’ve settled into the Atlanta area. But no matter how much city living I do, I always miss my Indiana, country home.
